At Kentucky Paper Box, we understand well that the manufacturing phase of most packaging projects is typically only a single step in a much larger overall process.
We build our services around the understanding of downstream requirements, and go to great lengths to provide customers with a complete solution that accommodates all of their needs.
Early in the quoting process of this project we found that providing the fulfillment component was the overriding factor that would win us the contract. The customer needed to have the boxes manufactured in the USA, and fulfilled offshore closer to the product’s origin and the location of assembly. We revised our proposal to accommodate this requirement, which was significant for us as a company as it marked the first occasion that we provided this type of a comprehensive fulfillment. However, meeting the customer’s schedule, which was already running behind, would require a great deal of effort, planning, and innovation to meet.
The first major hurdle to overcome was the inherent delays caused by U.S. Customs regulations. By modifying the scheduled release of each shipment, we were able to compensate for customs delays and provide on-time delivery for every shipment. The entire project includes 50,000 pieces, delivered in staggered release dates.
Our ability to deliver as promised a complete packaging solution including fulfillment and zero defects all in the face of tight deadlines and difficult logistical challenges is a testament to our flexibility and dedication to customer service.
